tuesday with giubee.
this tuesday with giubee was inspired by a wonderful organization called, girls rock! rochester. their mission is to empower girls through music and creativity. this is a powerful idea that i believe in with all my heart. guibee is lucky to have creative people all around her in her life, and i truly believe this is where her strong, independent personality comes from. check out girls rock! on their facebook page. enjoy, xoxo.

thrifts + finds.
So if you know me, you know that I LOVE to thrift. I would thrift everyday if my finances allowed me to. I do not like to shop the malls but could spend all day shopping in thrift stores. So here I am sharing my found treasures. Now this was a find!...aqua canisters for my kitchen that match not only my favorite nail polish but my kitchen aid that my wonderful family bought me for christmas!! They are not only beautiful but functional too! I will admit I buy many items that don't work or I am not sure how/when I will use them but these just were not the case. I have been working on accessorizing my kitchen since starting the hello, scrumptious blog with my sisters. We spend so much time cooking and photographing in there, its been my prime focus when thrifting. I will at some point share more of what my house looks like as most (all) of it's decor comes from thrift (and the side of the road) stores. I heart thrifting. xoxo Enjoy!

tuesdays with giubee.
Here is another addition to tuesdays with giubee. If you don't know, Giubee (Giuliona) is my 6 year old niece. She is independent, creative, funny and beautiful, and she is one of my favorite people to photograph. Every Tuesday I pick her up from her school and we have a "photo shoot."
This came out of her love of art and her yearning to create. She watched Michael painting and me photographing or editing and she wanted to be apart of it. She has a natural ability to "model" and she just lights up the camera. xoxo Enjoy!

a life without pleasure...
This is one of my favorite quotes that I read years ago in Free Food for Millionaires. What is so beautiful about this quote, is that I feel like it has been mine since I found it. I have NEVER seen it anywhere else so here I am sharing it with you all. Pleasure can be interpreted however you want. For me me it may be cotton candy, my gorgeous husband, St.monci or a million other things that give me pleasure ;) Creativity is something that I can't live without and pleasure is the vehicle that gets me there. So please have pleasure in your life. This is an image I took when I was in El Paso, Texas in January for a wedding. xoxo Enjoy!

a pictured lifestyle.
So I am changing things up a bit...I am going to start blogging more and you will not only see more pictures but it will be more lifestyle driven. I will posting thrifting finds, tuesdays with gubee, recipes (in addition to hello, scrumptious.) and more! I am so excited to share with you a little more of my life.
Sometimes its the simplest of things that make me smile. These $8 flowers from the Pittsford Wegmans did just that. They have brightened up my week, I hope they brighten yours. xoxo Enjoy!

mein lebensart
So I had the priveledge of shooting yet another dinner art party at the yards this past weekend. These are always so much fun to shoot! Each dinner is a completely different and inspiring experience and this one was no different. From great food, a fun atmosphere, beautiful photos on the wall (by the talented jonathan rutherford) and a giant geodesic dome in the center of the room, it was very hard not to have a good time. Here xoxo Enjoy!
